Embercast Arena is an independent game developed by Berkeley Malagon.
Game emails
If you choose “Join the list and get the game,” we use Resend to email your download links and a subscription confirmation link. After you confirm, Berkeley may email you about Embercast development, new builds, playtests, launch announcements, and special offers. You can unsubscribe from every mailing. You can also download the game without giving us your email address.
We keep your address, the invitation you agreed to, its version, signup source, request and confirmation times, and subscription status in private Vercel storage. We retain an unsubscribe record so you are excluded from future mailings. Unconfirmed requests do not join the mailing audience. Resend processes messages and delivery logs. Replies go to the developer. We do not sell your email address.
Development log and administration
Published development notes and game files are hosted on Vercel. Private drafts, release records, and email campaign status are stored in private Vercel storage. Admin sign-in uses a short-lived email link and a secure session cookie.
Website analytics
We use PostHog to understand visits, preview plays, download requests, email-send failures, and clicks on download links. A random browser identifier is stored in local storage. Download links include an anonymous identifier so we can connect a request with a subsequent click. Email addresses are not included in these analytics events. We don’t record your browsing session or use advertising trackers. Hosting and email providers may process IP addresses and technical logs to run the service.
In-game analytics
The game has its own anonymous usage analytics, with a Usage analytics setting. Website signups are not linked to your in-game player identity.
Your choices
To ask about or request deletion of your email information, reply to your download email. Clearing this site’s local storage resets its browser identifier. No game account is required.
